How do I place an order?
You can place your order with Alaska Baby Rentals over the phone, via email, or using our product-request form on our website. We happily answer any questions about our products over the phone, or you can browse through the products section of our website to get a feel for how we can help your family best!
How far in advance should I place my order?
We suggest that you order your travel gear as soon as possible to ensure that the equipment you need will be available! We are often rented out of items during peak season, which is from May through September. We generally request at least a 72-hour window for delivery-scheduling purposes; but we understand that things come up last minute and will do our best to accommodate your family’s schedule and needs.
What if I have a last minute order?
If an order is placed within 48 hours of your desired date, you still have time! We will do our best to accommodate your baby equipment needs and fulfill last-minute orders. To order gear, simply give Alaska Baby Rentals a call at (907) 240-7368 is recommended to ensure item availability and confirmation on short notice. We understand how important it is to have everything you need for your little one!
Can I make changes or add to my order?
Of course! If you need to make a change to your order then you are more than welcome to do so. Our policy concerning changes is that changes made within 48 hours of delivery require a 25% change order fee and items are subject to availability.
What if I need to cancel?
No problem! We understand that things happen. The policy of Alaska Baby Rentals on cancellations is: Orders cancelled within 48 hours of your rental start date will be charged 50% of the original order. Orders cancelled within one week will only be charged a $15.00 processing fee. However, if your order is merely being postponed, the 50% cancellation fee can be applied to the new order, with a $15.00 processing fee.
Will I need a deposit to secure my order?
Yes. Alaska Baby Rentals requires a credit card to be on file to process your reservation Gear is not held or reserved until a payment method is on file. Should you choose to pay with cash, a credit card number is still required to secure the order.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Alaska Baby Rentals accepts all major credit cards and cash as methods of payment.
Cash is expected to be paid in full at the time of delivery, but we also require a valid credit card to secure your order at time of reservation.
Credit card orders are processed at the time of reservation. If other arrangements need to be made, please call us at (907) 240-7368 and we will try to accommodate you!
What is your policy on damaged, lost or stolen equipment?
We expect our products, as well as all parts and accessories, to be returned to us in the same condition that the renter receives them. It is recommended that no food or leaky bottles or cups be placed on or in any of the other equipment. Normal wear and tear is expected; however, we do ask that you wipe up any spills or accidents as they occur to prevent stains or permanent damage to the equipment. If a product is damaged we ask that you contact us immediately via phone (907) 240-7368 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to advise us of the situation, not at the end of the rental. The renter is responsible for any items that are lost, stolen or damaged and will be charged the retail amount to your credit card for those items.
Is there a minimum rental period?
For all car seats, we have a minimum 3 day rental period.
We also have a minimum order amount of $45 (not including delivery charges) on all rental items, except for those items included in our Travel Gear section.
Do you provide long-term rentals?
Definitely! We do offer long term rentals for orders lasting longer than 3 weeks (simply make a note on our order form for any length of time up to 3 weeks). Please email us at email@example.com with the length of time, equipment desired, and any other details you feel would be helpful (or questions you might have!) and we will call you with rates for long term rentals.
Will I receive the exact equipment/item I order?
Not always. Styles, brands and colors of equipment may vary depending on availability, so the item you receive may vary slightly from those shown on our website.
However, you will always receive premium equipment and the high level of quality and safety will always be the same. Please call us at (907) 240-7368 if you have any questions or concerns regarding this.
Do you offer services other than rentals that would make my family more comfortable?
Our purpose at Alaska Baby Rentals is for your family to truly enjoy everything that Alaska has to offer, worry-free and relaxed. We will do our best to accommodate any need your family has. Diapers, wipes, bottles, bibs, healthy snacks, etc, are available for purchase. If there is something you need please let us know and we will do all we can to meet your requests. A 25% courtesy fee will be added to the purchases.
Delivery and Pickup Policies
Do you deliver?
We want to make your rental experience as hassle-free as possible, so we deliver to you!! Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the date, time, and location and we’ll do our best to accommodate you and your family.
Additionally, we are able to deliver to the Anchorage airport or rental car company and meet your flight.
Except for flights, please allow a 2 hour window for all deliveries. The delivery will be attempted once, and if you are unable to accept delivery at the agreed upon time, an additional delivery fee will be charged.
What are your delivery rates?
Rates listed below include both delivery and pickup services of your gear.
Anchorage - $25
Eagle River - $40
Wasilla / Palmer - $60 - minimum order of $150 applies
Girdwood - $60 - minimum order of $150 applies
Anchorage Airport / Car Rental Facilities during hours of 9am -6pm - $35
Anchorage Airport / Car Rental Facilities - before 9am or after 6pm - $45
If your order is over $250, free delivery is available in the Anchorage area.
Can you deliver to our hotel and pick up from the RV rental location?
Yes! We know that you each have unique itineraries for seeing Alaska and we love to help! We can easily accommodate different delivery / pickup locations. We will need additional information about your reservations, times, flights, etc, but will be delighted to make this as easy as possible for you.
Where are you located?
A great question as our address is not listed on our website! We do not have a storefront and are an awesome local home based business with our gear stored in a safe off site location. We live in South Anchorage and are happy to have gear available for you to pickup by appointment from our home if you are local or provide fast and convenient delivery services if you are visiting. Shopping for new gear? We have a showroom in our home and would be delighted to serve you -give us a call at 907-240-7368!
I live in Anchorage / the Valley. Can I pick it up at your location?
Yes! If you are local, you are welcome to pick up your baby equipment rentals. We do not have a storefront, so you will be stopping by our home. Pick up and drop offs are done by appointment only. There is no charge for pick ups or drop offs, but we ask that you arrive during your scheduled appointment time so that we are able to provide all of our customers the best customer service. If you are late for your scheduled appointment time, you will be charged $15.00.
What can I expect upon delivery of equipment?
We do require that the person responsible for renting the equipment is available when the equipment is delivered to acknowledge the equipment is satisfactory and to complete and sign the Rental Agreement. We offer to demonstrate or answer any questions regarding the use of our rental items. Our service doesn't end with the delivery. Cleaning & Safety Policies
Do you install carseats?
We apologize, but liability prevents us from installing carseats for you.
For your convenience, information on installing carseats is generally posted on the side of the carseat.

How is your equipment sanitized?
We follow Alaska’s Department of Health regulations in regards to cleaning solutions and procedures for infant and children's toys, furniture and linens. All licensed child care centers are required to follow these guidelines. Our gear is cleaned after every use with green, non-toxic cleaning and disinfectant products.
Are you aware of product recalls?
Yes! Absolutely. Your child’s safety is of the utmost importance to us.
Alaska Baby Rentals receives automatic email updates from the Consumer Product Safety Commission regarding any recalls, as well as track the updates ourselves on their website (www.cpsc.gov).
Additionally, all of our products are registered with the manufacturer in order to keep notified of all equipment recalls.
